LiLPa Linguistics, languages and speech

Scientific project

The Linguistics, Languages and Speech (LiLPa) research center covers most of the major subfields of linguistics: phonetics, morphology, semantics, pragmatics and text linguistics. Our team also includes specialists of sociolinguistics, Roman linguistics, computational linguistics and corpus linguistics, and the didactics of French as a mother tongue and a foreign language. Lastly, we have specialists of German, English and Greek linguistics and of dialectology. This variety of researchers from diverse horizons, but whose interests and skills complement each other, makes LiLPa a unique research unit in France’s Grand Est region.

We conduct research programs on discourse analysis, lexicon(s) and transposition(s), linguistic varieties, dialects and changes, language and speech impairments, learning and literacy, plurilinguism and interculturality.
