LPC Psychology of Cognitions

The Psychology of Cognitions (LPC) research center is dedicated to the study of the cognitive processes involved in human cognition, using an experimental approach. Our scholars conduct mainly basic research, and devise applications to societal issues related to the fields of education, such as learning disabilities, school failure and inclusive education, health, such as the management of patients with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder or post-operative patients, and social and occupational integration.

Research is divided into two main areas: first, basic research on human cognition and, second, research with a strong potential for application to three societal challenges. Studies are conducted with populations of varying ages, with or without disorders. The LPC strives to develop new, innovative paradigms in psychology and to diversify the types of measurements it performs: chronometrical measurements, EEG measurements, eye movement recordings, etc. Research with a strong potential for application is conducted in partnership with educational institutions and hospitals.
