Scientific project

Education is a universal right, involving many actors and a wide range of programs from childhood to adulthood. Its social, economic and cultural implications make it a particularly fertile ground for research.

The LISEC team studies the stakes of the knowledge-based society in terms of citizenship and education. We analyze the conditions required to improve the quality of learning in basic and lifelong training institutions by identifying teaching, learning and training programs,  studying their functioning and detecting the tools, mediations and values at work. The center also disseminates new knowledge to stakeholders through the media and digital technologies.

The LISEC brings together nearly sixty lecturers and professors and a hundred PhD candidates and education and training science, information and communication science, and psychology, at the University of Strasbourg, the University of Haute Alsace, and the University of Lorraine.
